My Favorite Photography Locations on the Oregon Coast
I think we can agree the Oregon Coast is one of the most beautiful parts of Oregon! The coast is known for its beautiful ocean, large green cliffs, and charming beach towns. Growing up in Portland, I became very familiar with the different beaches in Oregon. I got engaged in front of Haystack Rock in Cannon, Beach! There's no question the coast is one of my favorite places to take photos at!
Included below are a few of my favorite beaches that would be a perfect fit for your photoshoot location!
Hug Point
Hug Point is located close to Cannon Beach. It's a hidden location beloved by many photographers. Large green cliffs, caves, and a hidden waterfall. Yeah, absolute magic!
Not only is Hug Point beautiful, but it's easily accessible. There isn't a long hike to this beach, which makes it photoshoot friendly.
One of the best parts of this beach is the waterfall located on the beach. It's absolutely gorgeous! It isn't always accessible due to the water rising. Be sure to be safe and aware of the water levels before going to the waterfall location on the beach.
Cape Kiwanda
This beach is stunning! From the beautiful rocks to the great dune this location is the dreamiest spot!
Cannon Beach
I may be biased but nothing beats Cannon Beach. If your clients want to take photos but also enjoy a fun day at the beach, canon beach is the way to go!
I recommend finding parking further down towards the rock, closer to Pelican Brewing. There is a public beach access next to the Wayfarer Restaurant & Lounge. This will bring you closer to Haystack rock and to more of a private area.
